Veterans Benefits Appeals

Our fees for VA benefit appeals are controlled by 38 C.F.R. § 14.636. Our fee is contingent upon a favorable outcome that results in the VA issuing a back payment for owed benefits. Thus, if you do not receive an increase in VA benefits there is no payment for our services.

The contingency fee percentage for each client is based upon the individual circumstances of the case. Our attorney will provide a free phone consultation to discuss the specifics of your VA claim and our final fee agreement will specify the contingency fee percentage assigned.

20% or 30% Contingency Fee

The MilVet Law Firm is committed to transparent and fair pricing for our legal services. If you have any questions about the fees listed below, please contact us so that we can work with you to ensure that you receive the representation that you need.

Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Representation

No cost to the Veteran

Appeals to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims are billed under the Equal Access to Justice Act (EAJA). Under EAJA, if we are successful in obtaining a favorable outcome from the Court, the Government pays our attorney fees for work performed before the Court. If we are not successful in obtaining a favorable outcome there are no charges to the veteran for any work performed before the Court. If you have received a negative decision from the Board of Veterans Appeals and are considering an appeal to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, we urge you to contact our firm as soon as possible to see if this is a matter we can assist with.
